During the late Spring and Summer our fireplaces and woodstoves typically become inactive. However, a different kind of maintenance becomes priority. With more rain and humidity during these warm months, sometimes our fireplaces can begin to produce a smoky smell. We recommend having your fireplace and/or woodstove cleaned by our certified chimney sweeps at the end of your burning season. Next, to maintain a clean and appealing look to your fireplace during it’s “time off,” keep some of these maintenance items on hand!
